Heat Recovery Ventilation

Do you have a high Occupancy that needs both
Ventilation and Comfort Conditioing?

To comply with Code L of the new Building Regulations the Cooling and Ventilation loads of buildings require particular attention at the Design Stage with regard to their energy Performance.

On the left is the installation phase of a new heat recovery ventilation system serving a new Call Centre for a Local Police Authority.

The complete installation was designed and installed by the Company on behalf of the Local Authority Supervising Agency.

The Call Centre operates for 24 hours per day. With the mix of high operator numbers and a large cooling load from installed VDU Equipment and IT Equipment the Design had to meet both these requirements and be energy efficient.

The Air Handling Unit and associated plant in position. The Cooling Load is accommodated by two DX R407C air-cooled condensing units.

The integral heat exchanger recovers heat energy from the exhaust from the Call Centre and pre cools the incoming fresh air.

There is a considerable reduction in both the Cooling and Heating loads imposed by the Plant, this being attributed to the heat exchanger which is in the order of 60 to 70% efficient, this being dependant upon the working ambient conditions. With the full fresh air provided by the system Indoor Air Quality in the Call Centre is assured.
